Future-proof your design with anticipatory thinking
Are you challenged with making decision on novel design ideas in a connected, uncertain, intertwined and multifaceted reality? In such scenario, we need a compass to support the creation of new narrative toward a regenerative future, inform operations and possible alternative paths to follow, maximise inclusion of different voices and stakeholder alignment on a range of outcomes.
Join us in learning how to apply the Innovation System Roadmap, a cutting-edge tool for strategic decision making on new value propositions. Embrace a future-oriented attitude to reframe the thinking and rationale from which you observe obstacles and opportunities, your main takeaways are:
- Maximize your ability to connect the long-term vision to the short-term actions.
- Empower yourself with the Innovation System Roadmap and build a future compass.
- Understand and learn how to apply anticipatory thinking and its underlying three reasoning frames.
Anticipatory thinking can be instrumental in linking ‘what might be’ (future scenario) with ‘what is now’ (present scenario) in relation to a given idea. These connecting hypotheses – and the slippage between the present reality and the imagined future that they represent – are critical in providing with a compass for progress.
Kind note: The workshop is designed to be an interactive session where you try the tool hand-on. The purpose is to test it, familiarize and ask questions at the end. My desire is for you to practice the tool not for me to give a lecture. The more we interact the better the workshop will be delivered. To make the workshop interactive, you are invited to apply the tool on a project (new value proposition) you are familiar with and comfortable to share with the other participants.
Accelerate impact: How to align design, data, and business to build products people actually use.
