FAQs
What are the dates?
Our conference dates are 1-3 March 2023. Workshops are happening on 28 Feb.
Will Interaction follow its usual format?
We’re looking forward to welcoming you to Zürich — and we’re building a new experience for Interaction as a global event. Building on what we’ve learned from Interaction 22 and Interaction Latin America — our goal is to deliver an exceptional in-person experience and to engage our community wherever you find yourselves, with content that taps into our global reach.
Will there be social events?
Yes. Interaction will feature breaks for attendees to form meaningful connections, socialize, play games, and visit our sponsors. And as we gather in Zürich, we’ll be looking for ways to bring that experience to attendees who join us online too!
What does my ticket cover?
Conference tickets do not include Interaction 23 workshops. Workshop tickets do not include access to the Interaction 23 conference. When you buy an Interaction 23 ticket, we'll match it with a free ticket for someone who can't purchase a ticket of their own.
How does 1:1 ticket matching work?
We're pleased to partner with YouTube to extend the Interaction experience to a larger audience. Tickets were allocated by random draw and the quantity available based on the number of tickets purchased. We made one draw in December, and a second in February. Selected recipients have been notified via email.
If my talk proposal is accepted, what does IxDA cover?
Accepted talks receive an honorarium and free conference ticket. Workshops receive 50% of workshop fees + conference ticket. Keynotes have a travel + accommodation stipend in addition to their honorarium and conference ticket.
Can I buy a workshop ticket if I don't have a conference ticket?
Yes, absolutely. While lots of folks bundle a workshop with their conference experience, you're welcome to take in just a workshop as your main participation for Interaction 23.
Can I volunteer?
Yes! None of this would be possible without our conference heroes: volunteers! We are recruiting volunteers to assist us with different aspects during the live event.
What to bring with you: Vaccination proof or negative test result
IxDA supports vaccination as a primary means to reduce risk to our community – both for yourself and those you may interact with at Interaction 23. If you are attending Interaction 23 in person, you will be asked to show one of two things to pick up your badge:
- Your proof of vaccination. We recognize these will differ by country and may take many forms – including different numbers of boosters. For some countries this will include a proof of recovery instead of a vaccination. A paper copy or digital record as proof are both acceptable.
- If you do not have a vaccination record, bring a proof of same-day rapid antigen negative test result. Do not bring the actual test with you. Take a photograph of the negative test and be prepared to show it at registration. Without a vaccination proof, you should present a negative test for each day you are at the conference.
Which vaccines are eligible?
Vaccines found on the the World Health Organization (WHO)’s guideline that have been provided by your local government are eligible.
What if I contract COVID in Zürich during the event?
We ask you to monitor your personal health throughout the event and get tested if you don’t feel well or have any COVID symptoms.
If you contract COVID during the event, we recommend you to isolate yourself following the WHO’s guideline:
- For symptomatic patients: 10 days after symptom onset, plus at least 3 additional days without symptoms (including without fever and without respiratory symptoms
