By Plane

Thanks to its international airport, Zürich is easily accessible from everywhere. You can offset your air miles by supporting climate protection projects.

By Train

Switzerland is a nation of train travelers. Traveling to Zürich by rail is both easy and convenient. The Swiss Travel System also saves time and money. Books or games help pass the time on the train. Or you can simply sleep your way to Zürich on the night train.

By Road

From an ecological point of view, traveling to Zurich by car is not recommended. If you have no alternative, you can help offset your emissions by filling the car with the maximum number of people permissible, choosing alternative fuels, or using car-sharing platforms.

Visas

Remember to check if you need a visa: various regulations apply for entering Switzerland. A basic distinction is made between citizens of the European Union (EU) and European Free Trade Association (EFTA) countries and those of other countries.

Badge collection

Depending on the first IxD23 event you’ll first attend, there are going to be different venues we’ll first see you at. Wherever this is, come get your badge at these events’ reception booths so that you’re all set for the rest of the week.

You’ll need to bring:

  • a photo ID
  • your vaccination record (these differ by country and may take many forms – including different numbers of boosters. Some countries include proof of recovery instead of vaccination. Paper copies or digital certificates are both acceptable), OR a same-day rapid antigen negative test result (a photograph of the negative test result will also do). Without a vaccination record, you may be asked to present a negative test for each day you are at the conference.
  • your QR code (the one you’ll upon registration Hopin – more on that here)
